Responsibilities

  • Growth-Focused Strategy & Narrative Leadership
  • Develop and lead a forward-looking communications strategy that accelerates Marketplace and WFS growth.
  • Shape a compelling narrative around seller opportunity, expanded assortment, fulfillment innovation, and Walmart’s omnichannel advantage.
  • Position Walmart Marketplace as a differentiated, tech-enabled platform powered by trust, scale, and physical store integration.
  • Advise senior leaders on messaging that strengthens competitive positioning in a rapidly evolving retail landscape.
  • Proactive Brand-Building & Industry Positioning
  • Drive bold, proactive media strategies that elevate Marketplace milestones, seller success stories, and platform innovation.
  • Secure thought leadership opportunities that position Walmart as a global leader in omnichannel and platform retail.
  • Amplify key growth initiatives across earned, owned, executive, and digital channels.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Influence
  • Partner across Enterprise Growth, eCommerce, Stores, Merchandising, Tech, and Corporate Affairs to unify the broader eCommerce narrative.
  • Align Marketplace storytelling with Walmart’s enterprise brand, investor priorities, and customer experience strategy.
  • Serve as a senior communications leader who can influence, align, and mobilize cross-functional teams at scale.
  • Risk Leadership & Responsible Growth
  • Anticipate and manage reputational risks tied to platform growth, third-party sellers, and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Lead high-visibility issue response efforts with clarity, speed, and executive-level judgment.
  • Embed trust, governance, and responsible growth into all Marketplace narratives.
  • Measurement & Momentum
  • Use data, media insights, and competitive intelligence to refine strategy and strengthen impact.
  • Continuously evolve storytelling to reflect innovation in AI, fulfillment, seller enablement, and digital experiences.
