Job Summary

Shape a global content program for a leading law firm, aligning CMS UK and international teams around client‑facing thought leadership, multi‑channel campaigns, and governance that accelerates relationship building and cross‑practice collaboration.

  • Own the end‑to‑end content lifecycle from briefing to publication, ensuring consistency with CMS messaging.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on messaging, tone, and audience engagement to support partner and business development goals.
  • Coordinate cross‑regional content, repurposing assets across platforms to maximize reach and efficiency.

Job Description

Responsibilities:\n- Lead development and delivery of high‑quality content across CMS UK and international offices, supporting firm priorities as well as sector and practice group initiatives.\n- Shape thought leadership programmes, client‑facing campaigns and strategic content plans with partners, lawyers and business development teams.\n- Oversee the creation and coordination of a wide range of content, including reports, articles, campaign assets, client materials, website content and profile‑raising initiatives.\n- Help lawyers identify opportunities to connect services, sectors and expertise through joined‑up, commercially focused content that supports stronger client conversations.\n- Manage content workflows from briefing through to publication, ensuring work is delivered on time and aligned with CMS brand and messaging standards.\n- Collaborate with colleagues across marketing, digital, communications and design teams to ensure content is effectively distributed and reused across platforms and regions.\n- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on content structure, messaging, tone and audience engagement.\n- Contribute to the ongoing development of CMS’s content approach, including improving processes, governance, performance measurement and knowledge sharing across teams.\n\nRequirements:\n- Significant experience in a senior content role within a large international law firm or comparable professional services environment.\n- Experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder content programmes across different audiences, channels and jurisdictions.\n- A strong understanding of how content supports client relationships, profile‑raising and business development in professional services.\n- The confidence and judgement to work closely with senior partners and business leaders.\n- Experience overseeing thought leadership and content that supports sector, practice group and client development objectives.\n- Strong organisation and editorial judgement, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\n- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and accuracy.\n- Comfort working collaboratively in a fast‑paced, international environment.\n\nNice to have:\n- Experience with digital content platforms, campaign delivery or content governance processes would be beneficial.\n\nBenefits:\n- Competitive basic salary (reviewed annually)\n- Flexible, hybrid working policy\n- Generous bonus scheme\n- Up to 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days with service)\n- Holiday exchange scheme\n- Private medical insurance\n- Enhanced parental leave\n- Reasonable adjustments and accommodation for disabled talent in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.\n- If you would like to read more information regarding our range of benefits, please visit our Rewards & Benefits page on our website.
