Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Communications Manager works to develop and implement an annual integrated Communications plan for VB-USA alongside the rest of the USA Communications team.
  • Working through an extensive list of media contacts, one of the key purposes of this position is to enable the delivery of VB’s strategic PR and Communications objectives by proactively pitching key themes & ideas, showcasing VB and our activities, and increasing our profile through desk-sides, visits, events, content creation trips and general media coverage.
  • Together with the wider team in the USA, the post-holder will take the lead in both the planning and execution of Corporate Communications for the region, including those related to the role VisitBritain plays to drive Government tourism agenda.
  • The role also works with other members of the Americas team (including marketing, social and B2B), to ensure communications are part of the integrated approach to delivery across the region, and act as a PR champion within the region and the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a ‘GREEN CARD HOLDER’ or an ‘AMERICAN CITIZEN’ and either be based in New York or able to relocate to New York.
