Job Summary

Support York Community High School students as a school social work intern involved in MTSS-based interventions and counseling.

  • Own tiered interventions implementation and small-group supports.
  • Must-have: Concurrent Enrollment in a certified school social work graduate program.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the implementation of tiered interventions for students based on York's MTSS framework.
  • Leading small group interventions for academic and social-emotional concerns.
  • Completing social-emotional learning assessments
  • Providing individual counseling to students across academic and social-emotional domains.
  • Case Management for "at-risk" students
  • Collaborating with student support teams, IEP support teams, and Professional Learning Community teams to facilitate student success.
  • Co-facilitates workshops and classroom lessons on the counseling curriculum.
  • Assists school counselors in the development and maintenance of an effective school counseling program consistent with the school's mission.
  • Reviews school data for evidence that the school social work program is meeting the academic, social/emotional, and postsecondary needs of all students.
  • Interprets student data and initiates related student programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Concurrent Enrollment in a certified school social work graduate program.
