Responsibilities

• Conduct market mapping and merchant landscape research within assigned regional markets
• Develop and maintain merchant intelligence databases to support market prioritization, outreach planning, and regional growth strategy
• Analyze local restaurant clusters, merchant categories, competitive conditions, and regional growth opportunities
• Research merchant technology usage, digital presence, and market positioning
• Prepare market reports and opportunity assessments for internal growth planning
• Support business development teams with merchant intelligence and pipeline insights
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements to regional growth processes

Requirements

• Valid U.S. work authorization; international students with valid work authorization may apply

Preferred

• Interest or experience in business analytics, data analytics, economics, finance, statistics, marketing analytics, operations, or consulting
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to organize information and translate findings into business recommendations
• Clear written communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable using online research tools, spreadsheets, maps, business directories, and review platforms
• Exposure to restaurant, retail, SaaS, POS, payment, or fintech industries is a plus
• Professional communication ability in English and Mandarin Chinese
