Responsibilities

• Develop and document communication system designs for voice, data, and video networks tailored to Alaska environments.
• Produce cabling infrastructure drawings and specs meeting ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI, and NEC standards.
• Perform site surveys to define design requirements against Alaska terrain and climate.
• Oversee installation and coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and best practices (ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC).
• Conduct system testing and validation to verify performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Advise clients on design options and implementation, addressing inquiries promptly.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and pass federal background review and drug screen.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Active Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• 5-10 years of RCDD experience with federal projects, preferably USACE.
• Experience with military or government telecom projects; active Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Revit/CAD, Bluebeam; expertise in CATV, AV/VTC, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, distributed antennae systems (DAS), ESS.
• Excellent project management, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
