Job Summary

Drive media relations and research to power lifestyle PR campaigns, coordinating writing, daily monitoring, and event support to shape client narratives and program outcomes.

  • Media Relations & Writing: Maintain relationships with lifestyle publications and craft press materials to advance campaigns.
  • Campaign Support & Research: Compile trend reports, identify spokespersons, and inform creative concepts and event/vendor choices.
  • Client Understanding & Execution: Stay current on clients’ industries to align messaging, coverage, and outreach across channels.

Job Description

  • General account support
  • Compiling daily media monitoring and trend reports
  • Conducting research to support campaign creation, spokesperson identification, event vendor selection, etc.
  • Media relations activities, including maintaining knowledge and key understanding of and engagement with lifestyle publications
  • Press release development and other writing responsibilities
  • Maintain an understanding of clients’ businesses, industries and issues that directly and indirectly affect those clients
  • Event support
  • Relevant agency experience (ideally 1 – 2 years), with strong working knowledge of evolving lifestyle media and pop culture landscapes (a true afficionado)
  • Strong writing ability
  • Organizational and people skills
  • Event planning and production experience
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage time in an organized manner while ensuring deadlines are not just met, but exceeded
  • A proven understanding of and affinity for digital tools and media platforms
  • A can-do attitude
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, Cision and Muck Rack (or related PR software)
  • B.S/B.A required; concentration in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications or related field preferred
