Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive earned media results through relentless pitching, fast follow-through, and creative problem-solving.
  • Move with urgency — seizing opportunities quickly and never letting momentum stall.
  • Lead account teams in delivering thoughtful client strategies, day-to-day communications, and long-term planning.
  • Track and analyze media results to demonstrate ROI, ensuring strategies tie directly to client goals.
  • Manage press kits, awards submissions, editorial calendars, and client-facing agendas.
  • Provide strategic guidance during crisis communications or issues management moments.
  • Support and contribute to new business efforts — from proposals to media strategies to pitching.
  • Collaborate across teams (creative, digital, experiential) to deliver integrated client programs.
  • Oversee media monitoring, coverage tracking, and clip reporting.
  • Support influencer partnerships and social media planning.
  • Represent Campstories and our clients with professionalism, polish, and passion.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years in PR or communications, ideally agency-side.
  • A proven record of high-impact media placements in national, regional, and trade outlets.
  • Strong expertise in hospitality, culinary, travel, and tourism.
  • An obsession with storytelling and the thrill of the chase.
  • Experience leading teams — mentoring direct reports, fostering growth, and ensuring retention.
  • Must have: Ability to lead accounts, create annual strategies, and own client relationships.
  • Must have: Deep, proven relationships with local, regional, and national travel/hospitality media.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills that inspire confidence with both clients and media.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and scopes of work with precision.
  • Exceptional organization
