Job Summary

Own SAFB’s media relations lifecycle, coordinating proactive storytelling, timely responses, and brand-aligned messaging across traditional and digital channels to secure coverage for hunger relief work and flagship campaigns.

  • Media Strategy & Outreach: lead day-to-day press relations, build reporter networks, and pitch timely stories tied to SAFB programs.
  • Campaign & Event Publicity: align earned media with Signature Campaigns and community events, coordinating press coverage and event days.
  • Content & Digital Media: develop releases, talking points, fact sheets, and digital opportunities to expand reach.

Job Description

  • Media Relations: Lead day-to-day media contact, pitch stories, build reporter relationships, and respond to breaking news.
  • Campaign & Event Publicity: Align earned media with Signature Campaigns and events, coordinating press coverage and activations.
  • Content & Messaging: Create releases, talking points, and background materials to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Digital & Non-Traditional Outreach: Identify earned media opportunities across digital platforms and influencer partnerships.
  • Reporting & Planning: Track coverage, manage the media calendar and contracts, and refine strategies from data insights.
