Job Summary

Own and coordinate strategic communications across TB policy, advocacy, and community engagement, shaping publication lifecycles and multi-channel campaigns while building a centralized hub for new TB vaccines.

  • Strategy & Coordination: Align with TB teams to set communications strategy across channels and manage publication lifecycles, including translations and accessibility.
  • Execution & Media: Write copy for press, web, and social; guide visual content; organize webinars; launch publications.
  • Campaign Design & Hub Leadership: Collaborate with partners to extend campaigns and maintain a coordination hub for TB vaccines.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Strategy: Work closely with TB program/policy teams and Communications Director to develop a strategic approach to using communications for advancing policy, advocacy, and community engagement objectives across various communications channels;
  • Strategy: Work with the Communications Director and TB program/policy teams to coordinate flow and timing and representation of TAG’s various workstreams in our public-facing communications;
  • Strategy: Manage production of TB program publications; create and execute dissemination strategies;
  • Strategy: Support TB program/policy teams in designing and executing campaigns, including by collaborating with aligned organizations to extend campaign reach, coordinate messaging, and strengthen community-led communications efforts that reflect TAG’s mission and values;
  • Strategy: Help design and maintain a novel communications coordination hub focused on new TB vaccines;
  • Hands-on Execution: Write copy (press releases, statements, web text, social media text) to reach TAG’s diverse audiences (affected communities in the U.S. and globally, policymakers, funders, elected officials, researchers, clinicians, other community organizations);
  • Hands-on Execution: Provide direction to contractors on the creation of infographics and visual content for campaigns, reports, social media;
  • Hands-on Execution: Organize and manage the back-end technical functions for webinars;
  • Hands-on Execution: Work with authors and Communications Director to plan full lifecycle of publications (including managing multiple translations and use of assistive technology for accessibility);
  • Hands-on Execution: Execute launches of publications;
  • Hands-on Execution: Build and maintain relationships with traditional media outlets to cultivate earned media
  • Hands-on Execution: Perform other duties as assigned.
