Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and retain a team of Retail Specialists operating across dispersed markets, managing all aspects of performance remotely.
  • Set clear commercial KPIs for the field team — including volume targets, distribution goals, account call frequency, and rate-of-sale metrics — and hold the team accountable to delivering against them.
  • Coach and mentor Retail Specialists through regular virtual check-ins, field ride-alongs (as applicable), performance reviews, and ongoing skills development.
  • Identify and address performance gaps quickly; escalate as appropriate and implement corrective action plans when needed.
  • Foster a motivated, high-performing remote team culture rooted in accountability, cultural pride, and a shared passion for the brand.
  • Drive commercial outcomes: lead the team to consistently achieve volume, distribution, and velocity targets across on- and off-premise accounts.
  • Develop and execute market-level strategies to increase brand visibility, distribution depth, and sell-through within key accounts.
  • Monitor field team activity and commercial performance through reporting tools (e.g., GoSpotCheck), identifying trends and adjusting tactics to optimize outcomes.
  • Partner with the client’s brand and sales teams to align field execution with commercial priorities, promotional calendars, and distribution initiatives.
  • Track and report on volume performance, distribution gains, and experiential activations, tying field activity directly to commercial results.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in field marketing, experiential marketing, or brand activation program management, with demonstrated people management experience.
  • Experience in the spirits or beverage alcohol industry is strongly preferred — familiarity with how brands operate within the three-tier system, distributor relationships, and on/off-premise commercial dynamics is a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience managing remote or distributed teams, with a track record of driving accountability and performance across geographically dispersed markets.
  • Client-facing experience is required — this person must be comfortable owning client relationships, responding to briefs, and presenting in a professional, credible manner.
  • Experience developing and executing programs within the Multicultural space — with authentic cultural knowledge and a track record of culturally resonant work.
  • Strong commercial acumen: demonstrated experience tying field marketing activity to measurable business outcomes including volume, distribution, and sell-through.
  • Prior experiential commercial, marketing or event-based activation experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Preferred

  • Prior experiential commercial, marketing or event-based activation experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communicator — written, verbal, and presentation skills at a client-ready level.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, GoSpotCheck (or comparable field execution tools), and SmartSheets or comparable project management platforms.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Ability to travel for field visits, client meetings, and program activations as needed.
