Job Summary

Own Adapt’s end-to-end product marketing portfolio, leveraging deep customer and market insights to shape positioning, ICP, and launches while enabling sales and tracking program impact.

  • Drive research-informed recommendations for Product, Sales, and leadership
  • Define messaging, ICP, and launch processes across the product lifecycle
  • Provide sales enablement, customer evidence, competitive intelligence, and program measurement to accelerate adoption

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Customer and market insight. Build a continuous research practice across customers, prospects, developers, open-source users, lost opportunities, and the broader market. Turn those insights into clear recommendations for Product, Sales, and company leadership.
  • Positioning and messaging. Define Adapt’s category narrative, product positioning, audience-specific messages, value propositions, and competitive framing.
  • Segmentation and ICP. Clarify the users, buyers, companies, and use cases where Adapt delivers the most value. Help the company prioritize the right audiences and opportunities.
  • Product launches. Build a repeatable launch process with Product and Engineering. Translate capabilities and releases into clear stories, demonstrations, use cases, and distribution plans.
  • Open-source product marketing. Help developers understand, evaluate, adopt, and advocate for Adapt. Partner with Engineering on release communication, documentation, GitHub presence, community feedback, and the path from open-source usage to broader organizational adoption.
  • Customer evidence. Develop accurate, permissioned customer stories, demonstrations, proof points, and evidence of business impact.
  • Sales enablement. Give Sales the narratives, discovery insights, demonstrations, competitive guidance, and supporting materials needed to run effective technical and executive conversations.
  • Competitive intelligence. Maintain a current view of the market, alternatives, emerging categories, and changes in how companies build and deploy agents.
  • Packaging and adoption. Partner with Product, Sales, and leadership on packaging, pricing, activation, adoption, and the journey from individual developer interest to team and enterprise deployment.
  • Measurement and learning. Define how we evaluate messaging, launches, adoption, sales effectiveness, and product marketing programs. Use the results to improve what we say and what we build.

Requirements

  • Experience marketing an open-source product, developer platform, infrastructure product, or similarly technical product.
  • Experience working on a small or early-stage team where you personally researched, wrote, launched, measured, and iterated.
  • Exceptional writing and editing, with the ability to make complex technical systems clear without making them generic or inaccurate.
  • Evidence of shaping positioning, launching products, and influencing product adoption or commercial outcomes.
  • Technical fluency across AI systems, APIs, infrastructure, developer tools, or enterprise software. You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be able to earn credibility with engineers.
  • Strong customer and market research skills, including the ability to identify patterns without overgeneralizing from limited evidence.
  • Comfort moving between developers, technical leaders, end users, and executive buyers.
  • High judgment, curiosity, and a bias toward shipping useful work rather than waiting for perfect information or a large team.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation strategy including large equity grants for early hires at an early stage in the company's journey
  • Inclusive healthcare packages (medical, dental, vision)
  • Frontier AI access: Claude Code, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex, and most importantly unlimited internal use of Adapt itself
