Job Description

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will work with a team of stellar product and content marketeers to elevate Splunk’s market awareness and drive durable revenue for the Security business. You will own Splunk’s security –product positioning, messaging and activation along with building a content strategy that feeds into demand generation, events and across critical executive and analyst meetings.
  • As a critical team member owning creative security storytelling that cascades into practical customer outcomes, you will play a vital role in Splunk’s growth in Security markets, drive seller success and influence product-specific messaging with a view from the “whole picture.”
  • Security product marketing: Drive product marketing for Splunk’s security products alongside AI, Machine Data and Data Fabric vision. Partner with cross-functional teams in platform and observability marketing, field partners and product managers bring this messaging to life at events and in content and demand gen campaigns.
  • Growth and GTM: Influence GTM routes to reach new audiences, creating accompanying seller and partner assets on how to tell the security value to customers.
  • Thought Leadership & Storytelling: Champion Splunk’s security in critical industry and corporate events including breakouts and product deep dives, executive and analyst briefings where Splunk is represented.
  • Seller Enablement: Work alongside our global enablement teams to translate product messaging into seller specific assets. Help enable the field and ensure seller success via enablement programs and supporting content.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work alongside fellow content, comms, product marketeers and campaign leaders to influence, develop and execute a GTM strategy for security.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in the security business.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Nice To Have

  • Strong knowledge of existing security technologies and solutions in the marketplace, primary vendors, and industry trends and dynamics is strongly preferred.
  • Customer-first mindset: You are an expert in understanding customer and buyer personas; know how to create clear, powerful and compelling narratives that stick.
  • Analytical Storyteller: Comfortable moving between creative reviews and quick execution cycles, influencing executive stakeholders and gathering buy in.
  • Cross-Org Influence: Aligns stakeholders, drives clear timelines and execution paths, and navigates large organizations with grace.

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
  • For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies
  • Employees On Sales Plans Earn Performance-based Incentive Pay On Top Of Their Base Salary, Which Is Split Between Quota And Non-quota Components, Subject To The Applicable Cisco Plan.
