Responsibilities

• Build, refine, and maintain targeted media lists across national, regional, and niche outlets
• Assist with drafting, editing, and refining press releases, pitches, and media materials
• Conduct timely, strategic outreach to reporters, producers, and editors
• Monitor media coverage and track placements with precision
• Support booking and coordination of interviews and media opportunities
• Work directly with senior publicists on active client accounts and campaigns
• Research media trends, reporters, and story opportunities to inform pitching strategy
• Assist in tracking results and compiling client-ready reports
• Maintain organized, accurate records of outreach and media activity
• Manage deadlines and deliverables across multiple accounts

Requirements

• Strong interest in public relations, media, journalism, or communications
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and accuracy
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to operate independently in a remote environment
• Strong news judgment and understanding of what makes a story compelling

Preferred

• Prior experience or internships in PR, media, or journalism preferred but not required
