Responsibilities

  • Relationships Matter: Account Executives are asked to build and maintain relationships with clients and the media. These are delicate and important relationships but in different ways. The successful candidate can respond to the different needs of these critical agency constituents and find ways to support both with strategic ideas.
  • Drive Media Results: Craft compelling pitches, develop targeted media lists, write press releases and advisories, and secure placements at the local, regional, and national level. You know how to find the angle that lands.
  • Bring Strategic Thinking: Contribute ideas that go beyond the obvious. Contribute to the development of innovative communication/PR programs; pitch ideas/event concepts. You'll help shape campaigns, identify new opportunities, and connect insights to action, not just execute tasks.
  • Support the Team: Work closely with account leads, Assistant Account Executives and interns to keep projects on track. You'll Help manage timelines, budgets and logistics.
  • Stay Sharp on the Fundamentals. Research, monitor coverage, build background materials, track results, and maintain the institutional knowledge that makes accounts run well. Maintain state of the art knowledge of your clients’ industries and the media landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 Full Year of professional experience required ; Ideally 1-3 years of agency or relative experience
  • Strong writer who can adapt voice across formats - pitches, press releases, client emails, social content
  • Organized and deadline-driven; you manage multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
  • Active listener who synthesizes information quickly and turns it into clear, actionable output
  • Collaborative by nature
  • Curious and growth-oriented; you want feedback, not just praise
  • Media-savvy with a pulse on the current news cycle and what makes a good story in 2026
