Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Coordinate, plan, and execute monthly podcast batched recordings using Descript.
  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Handle recording setup, audio/video capture, and production.
  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Edit episodes for clarity, pacing, and overall quality.
  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Edit social media teasers, trailers and clips.
  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Prepare basic run-of-show outlines and assist with content flow.
  • Podcast Production (Monthly): Ensure each episode is delivered, polished, and ready for distribution.
  • Social Media Management (Ongoing): Plan weekly content across platforms (Instagram, etc.).
  • Social Media Management (Ongoing): Shoot and capture content (on-site, behind the scenes, installs, lifestyle).
  • Social Media Management (Ongoing): Edit short-form video content (Reels, clips, promotional pieces).
  • Social Media Management (Ongoing): Write captions aligned with our brand voice.

Requirements

  • Experience with video editing (required).
  • Are comfortable learning and using platforms like Descript, Wave.io and CANVA.
  • Understand social media trends, but know how to keep content elevated and on-brand.
  • Are highly organized and can manage timelines and content calendars, using platforms such as PLANABLE.
  • Are a strong communicator and self-starter.
  • Can work independently but also collaborate with a creative team.
  • Are NYC area based and able to travel to our Hudson Valley 1–2 times per month (as needed) -- Required for consideration.

Preferred

  • Have experience with podcast production or audio editing.
  • Have a background in design, styling, or real estate.
  • Have shot content in lifestyle, interiors, or hospitality environments.

Founded in 2004 by New York City based news anchor/ reporter turned interior designer Cathy Hobbs, CHDR is one of the premiere staging companies serving the Tri-State Area. CHDR maintains an expansive warehouse, which includes a curated collection of furniture, artwork, chandeliers, accessories and drapery. In order to meet the needs of its expanding business, the company is currently implementing the ground up construction of a state-of-the art building/warehouse, which will serve as the first Passive Warehouse in North America.
