Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop concept-driven creative ideas for Olympic partnership work that are strategically grounded, creatively ambitious, and executable with minimal oversight.
  • Write clear, compelling copy across channels including campaigns, print collateral, digital, social, email, packaging, and environmental.
  • Write across formats as needed, including scripts (video/social), headlines, and short-form brand messaging.
  • Collaborate with designers, art directors, producers, and cross-functional partners to evolve ideas from concept through production and delivery.
  • Shape brand voice and messaging frameworks to ensure consistency and resonance across partnership touchpoints.
  • Ensure work is on brief—aligned to strategy, objectives, and audience insight; help clarify and strengthen briefs when required.
  • Present concepts and copy rationale with clarity and confidence in internal reviews and client/partner stakeholder discussions.
  • Apply deep sports and cultural knowledge to craft storytelling that feels authentic, current, and audience-aware.
  • Integrate generative AI tools and emerging technologies into your workflow to support ideation, iteration, and production.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed, quality, and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment, with extreme attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a copywriter, creative writer, or brand writer in an agency or in-house creative team.
  • 3 years of experience writing for large, recognized brands across multiple channels.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing craft, conceptual thinking, and range across brand and campaign work.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrated experience developing concepts in close partnership with design and art direction.
  • Deep knowledge of the sports industry—its culture, language, audiences, and storytelling conventions.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate strategy into compelling, original creative ideas.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; able to articulate creative rationale with clarity.
  • Demonstrated experience with generative artificial intelligence tools and an interest in adopting emerging creative technologies.
  • Extreme attention to detail, tone, and brand consistency.

Preferred

  • Strong passion for sport and culture, with experience writing for sports brands, athletes, leagues, or major sporting events.
  • Experience writing for large-scale partnerships, sponsorships, or cultural moments.
  • Background in both long-form and short-form copywriting across editorial, advertising, and brand channels.
  • Familiarity with creative production processes across print, digital, environmental, and social.
  • Experience collaborating within design-led teams where copy and art direction are developed together.
  • Comfort partnering with senior stakeholders and external agency teams.
  • A passion for storytelling that connects brands with people in meaningful, memorable ways.
