Job Summary

Build category marketing ownership with merchandising, run AutoZone Media Network activations, and integrate across owned, paid, and in-store touchpoints to move traffic, conversion, and category growth.

  • Shape annual plans balancing promos, always-on media, product discovery, and customer experience across channels.

Job Description

Build category-level marketing in partnership with Merchandising, own Retail Media Network activations, and shape plans across owned, paid, and in-store channels to move traffic and category growth.

  • Lead category strategy translating business priorities into integrated marketing and retail media plans.
  • Own AutoZone Media Network activation within assigned categories, collaborating with Merchandising and vendor teams on vendor-funded programs.
  • Shape annual category plans balancing promos with always-on media, product discovery, and customer experience across channels.
  • Partner Brand, Media, CRM, Loyalty, and Ecommerce to ensure cohesive execution across the full customer journey.
  • Lead insight-driven marketing plans using customer analytics, competitive insights, and performance data to inform strategy and optimization.
  • Track retail media performance and report results to inform optimization and future planning with Merchandising and vendors.
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to Merchandising and senior Marketing leadership, communicating priorities and opportunities to leadership.
  • Mentor Merchandise Marketing team members to elevate strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in marketing with a multi-channel retailer preferred.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; persuasive in presenting complex concepts to groups.
  • Proven analytical, business planning, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to translate analytic data into strategic ideas.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage agency partners and engage in a manner that delivers positive results.
  • Talented in problem-solving, analyzing trends, and understanding business priorities.
  • Proficient in anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.

Nice to have

  • Automotive aftermarket experience is a plus.
