Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead media investment strategy and execution for a national automotive brand, overseeing campaigns across local, regional, and national tiers
  • Report into and collaborate closely with the VP of Media Investment to align investment decisions with overarching account strategy and client business objectives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Planning, Marketing Science, Creative, and Social) to develop and execute integrated, insight-led media strategies across the funnel
  • Develop innovative, data-informed media investment solutions across both emerging and established platforms, with a focus on driving measurable automotive outcomes (vehicle awareness, consideration, on-site actions, dealer traffic, and sales)
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact for investment-related discussions, providing strategic guidance, marketplace updates, and proactive recommendations to mid-level marketing stakeholders
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, including buying, trafficking, launches, and performance reporting — ensuring flawless delivery across all channels
  • Build, manage, and continuously optimize cross-channel investment strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, CTV, and Digital Video, with an eye toward full-funnel efficiency
  • Lead DMA co-op investment planning in coordination with regional teams and OEM brand requirements
  • Manage budgets, vendor and publisher relationships, and ensure compliance with automotive brand safety, legal, and regulatory standards
  • Develop and mentor junior investment team members (Associates through Managers), serving as a day-to-day team lead and escalation point

Requirements

  • 7–9 years of media investment experience, with a strong foundation in performance marketing across Search, Social, and Programmatic, and working knowledge of upper-funnel brand channels
  • Experience working on or adjacent to an automotive account — familiarity with OEM/dealer structures, co-op media models, and regional buying a strong plus
  • Proven ability to translate brand and retail objectives into full-funnel investment strategies that drive measurable results
  • Strong track record managing client relationships at the manager-to-director level, with the ability to communicate investment rationale clearly and confidently
  • Hands-on campaign execution experience — comfortable in the details of buying, optimization, and reporting while maintaining a strategic point of view
  • Proficiency in DV360, Amazon, TTD and other DSPs, paid search platforms (Google Ads, SA360), and media planning and reporting tools
  • Experience working within a matrixed agency environment, collaborating across investment, planning, analytics, and creative disciplines
  • Up to date on automotive industry trends, marketplace developments (Upfronts, Newfronts, platform changes), and emerging media opportunities
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills — able to synthesize data into clear, confident investment recommendations
  • Solid understanding of the full media planning, buying, and reporting process, including budget management and reconciliation

Preferred

  • Experience at an Omnicom media agency
  • Familiarity with automotive-specific tools and platforms (e.g., IHS Markit, Polk data, dealer-level geo-targeting solutions)
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar media budgets across national and local tiers, ensuring efficient allocation, pacing, and ROI
  • Exposure to first-party data onboarding, clean room environments, or OEM data partnerships

Benefits

  • Global maternity and parental leave
  • Competitive benefits packages
  • Vacation, compassionate leave, personal/sick days, and flex days
  • Access to online services for families and new parents
