Job Summary

Drive localized auction marketing by planning and executing campaigns across print, digital, and on-site events, coordinating sale-day activity and client engagement to grow attendance and awareness.

  • Own local campaign execution: brand-aligned messaging, tactic deployment, and results tracking for auction events.
  • Coordinate year-long event sales calendar and sale-day promotions to drive turnout and engagement.
  • Support cross-location marketing efforts, including travel to Oceanside and Anaheim auctions as needed.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • At the direction of the Marketing Manager, execute marketing campaigns to address auction and client needs, ensuring Manheim brand alignment and accuracy
  • Plans and executes marketing tactics within the location including print, displays, and signage
  • Assists in managing auction social media sites to drive awareness to auction sales and events and creatively engage both current and prospective clients
  • Contribute ideas and insights into the development of a year-long event sale calendar
  • Track results of all marketing campaigns and make adjustments to future campaigns based on results
  • Utilize Manheim tools to execute marketing plans including graphic design requests, existing editable templates and company intranet site
  • Execute necessary sale day preparations/responsibilities as directed by leadership including but not limited to client engagement, promotion/incentive execution, giveaway tracking, etc.
  • Travel as required by corporate marketing and auction leadership
  • Assist with and travel to additional auction location(s) to help with marketing efforts (when needed)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by auction leadership and corporate marketing
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of marketing and customer service experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and layout/design software (e.g., Adobe, Canva).
  • Strong computer skills with foundational graphic arts knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a high‑performance, fast‑paced team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight time constraints.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a constantly changing work environment.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions as well as noise, dust, and fumes in auction lanes.
  • Travel: 15%; will travel to Oceanside auction once a week; rest of week will report to Anaheim auction.
Nice to Have
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or business preferred.
  • Experience supporting social media platforms, including creating or posting content and assisting with ongoing social media activities.
  • Experience assisting with events, promotions, or on-site activities.
  • Automotive experience.
