Job Summary

Own external comms and stakeholder engagement for energy program outreach, turning complex policy into audience-ready messaging for events, media, and partnerships.

  • Public relations and events: Lead messaging for media opportunities, interviews, and high visibility engagements with PR partners.
  • Stakeholder engagement cadence: Centralize communications, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and measure impact to inform next steps.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of proactive outreach and engagement initiatives to increase awareness of Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicle, and Active Demand Response programs across key external audiences.
  • Lead the development and delivery of messaging for media opportunities, interviews, public events, speaking engagements, and stakeholder briefings related to these programs, in partnership with Media Relations and Public Relations/Outreach teams, including representing these programs in external-facing settings as needed.
  • Develop and implement integrated outreach plans, messaging frameworks, and engagement strategies that support business objectives and enhance customer and stakeholder awareness.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for marketing outreach, public relations, and external communications supporting these programs, ensuring alignment and coordination across internal teams and external partners.
  • Create and deliver key communications materials, including talking points, briefing documents, presentations, and supporting content for public-facing opportunities.
  • Identify and support strategic opportunities for external visibility and engagement, including events, partnerships, and stakeholder forums.
  • Partner with internal teams, subject matter experts, and business leaders to ensure communications are accurate, audience-focused, and aligned with program priorities and brand standards.
  • Support high-visibility and time-sensitive communications by developing materials, coordinating inputs, and ensuring readiness for external engagement.
  • Manage external vendors and partners to deliver communications projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Track outreach activity and engagement performance, providing reporting, insights, and recommendations to inform future strategies.
  • Support integrated marketing and communications campaigns and contribute to special projects as needed
