Job Description

Responsibilities - Own a portfolio of high value oncology congresses; thereby, leading the end-to-end (from initial brief through post-show analysis) congresses within the healthcare/life science vertical. - Collaborate with the Assets/Brands/Functional Teams to develop congress strategy, identify, and clarify congress goals and objectives; thus, ensuring pre, peri, and post congress promotion, booth design, and onsite initiatives to support business goals and maximize return on engagement/return on investment. - Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for High Value Oncology Congresses. - Conduct post-congress analysis and optimization: Close out all congresses with post-congress surveys, data analysis, and stakeholder reporting. Gather feedback and review budget recaps to inform future congress strategy and demonstrate business impact. - Exercise strategic thinking to identify trends, recommend improvements, and shape the evolution of the congress program. - Accountable and responsible for congress end-to-end collaborative (internal and external stakeholder) project management plan trackers to ensure beating and meeting key milestones. - Manage project budgets and track and submit purchase orders as needed. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Internal – AbbVie Business Services Group, Digital Lab, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, etc.), External - (AbbVie Congress & Engagement Vendor Partners). - Lead the branded/non-branded asset promotional approval process (Veeva) compliantly. - Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with creative, CRM, content, and social media teams to coordinate congress messaging, collateral production, and release dates. Serve as a liaison across business development, asset/brand/function leadership, and marketing, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment of messaging, content, and deliverables. - Develop and implement SOPs for high value congress engagements. - Develop and maintain project trackers for coordination of milestones. - Lead the branded/non-branded asset promotional approval process and ensure firewall compliance. - Vendor Management: Design & build exhibits: Partner with AbbVie’s Congress Agency of Record (AOR) and exhibit vendors to create impactful booths. Oversee vendor coordination inclusive of audio visual, booth design/fabrication, graphics, hospitality, shipping, and show services. Bring firsthand booth-build experience from concept through installation and dismantle (I&D). - Lead and Participate in High Performing and Collaborative Teams: Promote open and transparent communication to encourage collaboration and feedback across all levels. - Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements to boost morale and motivation. - Create an environment of trust, psychological safety, and respect where team members feel valued and empowered to contribute ideas. - Hold team members accountable for deliverables while providing support and constructive feedback for improved performance. - Foster diversity, inclusion, and equitable participation within project teams. - Enable cross-functional collaboration, breaking down silos to leverage broader organizational strengths.
