Own end to end event marketing from strategy through on site execution, balancing budget, vendor negotiations, and CRM tracking to drive leads and guest experiences.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies focused on event marketing, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including conferences, trade shows, corporate gatherings, and community outreach programs.
  • Manage event budgets meticulously, negotiating contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and entertainment providers to maximize value.
  • Oversee all aspects of event logistics such as venue selection, catering arrangements, technical setup, guest registration, and onsite management.
  • Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track leads, manage client communications, and analyze event performance metrics.
  • Lead a team of staff or volunteers during events to ensure excellent guest services and smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to upsell services or sponsorship opportunities during events to boost revenue streams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and hospitality.
  • Monitor industry trends in hospitality and event management to continuously enhance our offerings and stay ahead of competitors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning, marketing, or hospitality industries with a focus on event management or related roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts while maintaining quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and event management software tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing event budgets from planning through execution while controlling costs effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills for client interaction, team leadership, and vendor negotiations.
  • Ability to lead teams confidently while fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of hospitality operations including catering services, banquet arrangements, hotel or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with fundraising activities or community engagement initiatives is a plus.
