Responsibilities

  • The Marketing and Events Coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy to increase awareness of CPD and engagement with career development activities among students, alumni, and other constituents in support of the University’s bold goal of improving student outcomes.
  • Additionally, the coordinator will lead and coordinate several campus-wide events and programs.
  • The coordinator will create promotional and marketing collateral including social media content, digital displays, website and online content management, email templates, newsletters and outreach.
  • The coordinator will liaise with program managers and student employees in CPD to develop and maintain a communications and marketing schedule and workflow that is effective in reaching student and alumni audiences and that leverages the contributions of multiple staff teams.
  • Act as a central point of contact and liaison with CPD staff and student employees to establish and maintain a coordinated schedule and workflow for all CPD communications, including reminding contributors of timelines, and gathering and reviewing content.
  • Develop a timeline and strategy for promoting and marketing CPD programs and events, including channels to be used for each program (social media, digital screens, newsletters, blog, etc.)
  • Plan, develop, update, and maintain website content, including text, images, and multimedia, to support departmental goals, initiatives, and communications priorities using the uConnect web platform.
  • Draft/execute/send bi-weekly and monthly newsletters for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop templates for flyers, digital screens, email newsletters and announcements.
  • Review content for consistency with DU branding guidelines.
