Job Summary

Own NAV hosted events from concept to execution across formats and markets, manage partner and co-hosted events, and drive conference strategy and pipeline ROI across the ticketing funnel.

  • Lead multi-format event programs and flagship annual experiences
  • Cultivate partner relationships and sponsor/co-host logistics
  • Own attendee targeting, CRM data flow, and post-event follow-up

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Owned Events: Plan, produce, and execute NAV-hosted events across formats — cocktail receptions, seated dinners, panels, golf outings — in key markets including New York, Chicago, and emerging geographies (DC, West Coast).
  • Partner Events: Manage co-hosted events with audit firms (Richey May, KPMG), law firms (Alston & Bird, Walkers, Ogier), OCFOs (Windstream, Paro), and prime brokers (Jefferies, StoneX). Own the partner relationship for event logistics, guest lists, and co-branding.
  • Conference Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and manage NAV’s presence at industry conferences (GAIM Ops, Digital Assets Summit, iConnections etc.). Negotiate sponsorships, coordinate booth logistics, manage speaking opportunities, and staff on-site.
  • Pipeline & Revenue Accountability: Track event-sourced leads and conversions. Build and maintain an event attendance log, segment attendees by fund type, size, and geography, and report on event ROI to marketing and sales leadership.
  • Outreach & Audience Development: Build targeted invite lists, manage outreach campaigns for event attendance, and develop strategies to attract new attendees (not just repeat guests). Coordinate with the performance marketing and email teams to drive registrations.
  • Event Segmentation: Develop segment-specific event programming across NAV’s core verticals — hedge funds, digital assets, private credit/PE — tailored to the audience’s seniority and interests.
  • Vendor & Venue Management: Source and manage venues, caterers, AV, signage, swag, and all third-party vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage event budgets.
  • Flagship Event Development: Work with the Head of Marketing to conceptualize and launch NAV’s signature annual event, building on precedent set by prior company-hosted gatherings.
  • CRM & Data Hygiene: Ensure event data flows back into the CRM — attendance records, lead status, follow-up actions. Partner with sales ops to close data gaps around client geography and event history.
  • Travel: Travel regularly (estimated 30–40% of the time) to attend and manage events across the US, with occasional international travel for key conferences.

Requirements

  • 10 - 12 years of experience in B2B event marketing, ideally within financial services, fund administration, banking, fintech, or professional services.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing multi-format events (intimate dinners, large-scale conferences, partner co-hosted events) with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience managing partner and co-sponsor relationships with professional services firms (audit, legal, prime brokerage is a strong plus).
  • Strong project management skills — comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously across different stages of planning.
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail on logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor contracts.
  • Experience with event marketing platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools. Familiarity with tracking event-sourced pipeline is critical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft event copy, partner outreach emails, and executive briefing materials.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (road-warrior mindset) — this role requires a physical presence at events, not just planning from behind a desk.
  • Self-starter mentality; able to operate independently with minimal oversight while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in the hedge fund, private equity, or alternative investments ecosystem — understanding of the fund lifecycle, key service providers, and industry events calendar.
  • Existing relationships with event venues, vendors, or industry organizations in New York, Chicago, or the Cayman Islands.
  • Experience with matched-meeting or curated networking platforms (e.g., iConnections, Bymark formats).
  • Background in or exposure to institutional investor events (endowments, pensions, family offices).
  • Experience building an events function from scratch or significantly scaling an early-stage program.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Benefits start on Day One.
  • Short term disability insurance.
  • 401(k), 3% of base salary employer contribution, and profit sharing.
  • Real paid vacation (with all calls and e-mails forwarded to a colleague during vacation).
