Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support senior marketing team members in creating and executing brand and title campaigns for priority projects, inclusive of doing influencer research, crafting suggested social content, pitching organizations for partnerships, etc.
  • Individually manage title-marketing strategies for 5-8 frontlist/backlist titles per season
  • Contribute to the divisional social media, website and newsletter channels as needed to maximize engagement and connect with a book’s audience
  • Liaise with Publicity, Editorial, and Sales to implement cohesive campaigns and promotions
  • Communicate marketing updates to sales, authors, agents, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain awareness of the adult book market and publishing industry and suggest new and innovative ways to market titles to consumer, influencers, and booksellers

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or publishing with a demonstrated ability to innovate and manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, while also having full ownership of your work and autonomy to craft and implement plans for your titles
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a busy working environment
  • Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, influencer partnerships, and search engine marketing and optimization. Familiarity with Canva, TikTok, Instagram, and Substack a plus
  • Experience presenting in front of large groups including internal meetings and with outside partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in and familiarity with the book influencer space
  • Interest in audience insights and data analytics
