Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated marketing strategies for key sports programming initiatives, tentpole events, channel launches, original content, and partnership opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sports Programming leadership to identify marketing opportunities that drive listening, engagement, subscriber value, and audience growth.
  • Lead partner and talent marketing relationships across assigned sports properties, serving as the primary point of contact for leagues, teams, media partners, talent representatives, agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional planning across CRM, App Marketing, Social, Performance Marketing, Creative, PR, Events, Brand, Sales, and Product teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Create presentations, strategic recommendations, and marketing narratives that clearly communicate objectives, opportunities, results, and business impact.
  • Own creative strategy and development from brief through execution, including campaign positioning, messaging frameworks, creative feedback, and go-to-market planning for major sports initiatives.
  • Independently determine campaign approaches, sequencing, and stakeholder tradeoffs for complex assignments, escalating only when business risk or contractual exposure requires leadership input.
  • Identify and champion innovative marketing opportunities that elevate SiriusXM's sports brands, deepen fan engagement, and create value for partners and stakeholders.
  • Support marketing strategy and partnership activation efforts across current sports properties and emerging strategic partnerships.
  • Analyze campaign, audience, and engagement performance to identify insights, inform future strategy, and communicate recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in partnerships, partner management or content/digital marketing.
  • Experience managing high-profile partnerships, talent relationships, sponsorships, or sports properties.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment among multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex, ambiguous issues and recommend practical tradeoffs with limited supervision.
  • Experience developing presentations, marketing strategies, business cases, and performance recaps.
  • Experience reviewing partnership agreements, sponsorship contracts, talent agreements, or media rights deals with a strong understanding of marketing rights and obligations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
