Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Digital Campaign Production and Execution
  • Provide technical and production support for national fundraising, membership, consumer marketing, direct mail, advocacy, electoral, and engagement campaigns, including email, SMS, digital advertising, landing pages, registration forms, action pages, and related collateral.
  • Support campaign execution by building assets in Engaging Networks, coordinating approvals, routing content, testing links and forms, conducting quality assurance, preparinglaunching communications for launch, and helping ensureensuring campaigns are completed on produced ahead of schedule and launched on time.
  • Maintain audience segmentation processes, list-pull documentation, targeting criteria, and standard operating procedures to support accurate and effective campaign delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Campaign Strategy and Coordination
  • Serve as a day-to-day coordination point between Online Strategy and partner departments, including HRC Shop, Federal Club, Leadership Giving, Equality Programs, Membership, Campaigns, and other teams, to help align messaging, timing, and production needs.
  • Work with Online Strategy leadership, campaign teams, and membership teams to support the implementation of digital political, advocacy, fundraising, and supporter engagement plans, including GOTV, volunteer recruitment, event registration, and member acquisition efforts.
  • Support the maintenance of digital communications calendars by tracking deadlines, campaign timing, production status, and scheduling needs across fundraising, advocacy, and engagement communications.
  • Data, Reporting, Testing, and Optimization Support
  • Track campaign metrics, compile performance results, prepare reports, and share observations support fundraising, advocacy, engagement, and recruitment efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and at least three years of experience in online engagement, digital fundraising, political campaigns, advocacy campaigns, or digital campaign development and execution.
  • Technical and analytical experience using a membership database, eCRM, or similar digital campaign platform.
  • Experience managing campaign data, audience segmentation, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions in a fast-paced campaign environment.
  • Ability to research and identify current trends in digital engagement, fundraising, advocacy, and LGBTQ+ equality work.
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including occasional evening and weekend work.

Preferred

  • Experience with Engaging Networks or a comparable eCRM platform.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, HTML editors, email production tools, SMS platforms, digital organizing tools such as Mobilize America, and project management platforms such as monday.com.
  • Experience supporting PCI DSS compliance, ASV scanning, donation pages, or digital fundraising operations.
  • Experience using testing, segmentation, and campaign analytics to improve digital campaign performance.
