Job Summary

Own the full digital engine from frontend UX to paid media and AI-powered optimization, delivering measurable impact for consumer and contractor audiences.

  • Own the end-to-end digital strategy including SEO/AEO, paid media, and ecommerce experiences.
  • Build and deploy AI-powered workflows and dashboards to turn data into decisions.
  • Lead agency partners and scale the team as the business grows while collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and IT.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • This is a high-impact individual contributor position with real leadership responsibility. You’ll set the digital strategy, execute it yourself, direct outside agencies and contractors, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and IT. No layers. No hand-off culture. You own the outcome.
  • The role launches as an IC position — and as F+C scales, so does it. The expectation is that you’ll eventually build and lead a team underneath you.
  • Website & UX: Front-end development, maintenance, and continuous improvement (HTML, CSS, JavaScript — you’re doing it yourself, not just managing it).
  • UI/UX optimization to cut friction, lift engagement, and drive conversion.
  • Page design and publishing via Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Structured A/B testing programs with measurable results.
  • Search: SEO & AEO: Comprehensive SEO strategy: on-page, technical, and off-page.
  • Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — getting F+C content surfaced in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and the AI search surfaces that are replacing traditional results.
  • Ongoing monitoring of rankings, crawl health, Core Web Vitals, and performance signals.
  • Paid Digital Advertising: End-to-end ownership of paid campaigns: Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max), PPC, and beyond.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive digital marketing experience in B2C or B2B2C environments.
  • Hands-on front-end dev skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) — you implement, not just direct.
  • Deep Google Ads expertise (Search, Display, Performance Max) and paid media fluency.
  • Strong SEO and AEO knowledge, including technical SEO and AI search visibility.
  • GA4 and Tag Manager proficiency; you build dashboards, not just read them.
  • Adobe Creative Suite for web and landing page design.
  • Experience managing outside agencies, freelancers, and contractors.
  • A demonstrated track record of building and deploying AI-powered marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical instincts and project management discipline.
  • Background in home improvement, home décor, remodeling, or a related category.

Preferred

  • HubSpot proficiency preferred.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional digital marketing team in scaling organizations.
  • Track record of improving ROAS in paid campaigns.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • PTO.
  • Additional ancillary benefits.
  • Remote-first with on-site options in select markets.
