Original Job Description

Description Position Summary The Junior Video Commissioner supports the SVP, Visual Creative Services in overseeing the development and execution of artist-driven visual content, including music videos, live performances, social campaigns, and branded projects. This role is not a directing position — instead, the Commissioner manages the process from concept through delivery by liaising between artists, managers, label leadership, and external production partners. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in production or direction, but is motivated to grow into a commissioning and executive producer track, ensuring that all projects meet creative vision, budget, and delivery standards. Key Responsibilities Commission and oversee external directors and producers for music videos and visual projects. Act as a liaison between artists, managers, the label, and production partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on creative direction. Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables from concept through delivery. Review treatments, edits, and final cuts, providing feedback under the guidance of the SVP. Coordinate production logistics, including contracts, insurance, and compliance with internal policies. Track and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and expectations exceeded. Support the SVP in evaluating creative partners and maintaining a network of directors, producers, and vendors. Stay informed on visual and cultural trends, recommending innovative approaches for artist campaigns. Requirements Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in music video production, creative services, or entertainment content. Strong understanding of the music video and visual production process. Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and contracts effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Previous on-set or production experience (producer, coordinator, or director) is required. Familiarity with post-production workflows and file delivery requirements. Flexibility to travel frequently for productions, with ability to work evenings/weekends as needed. Preferred Qualities Passion for music and visual storytelling. Highly collaborative, solutions-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments. Professional presence and ability to build trust with artists, managers, and executives. Strong eye for creative quality while respecting the artist and label’s vision.
