Job Summary

Drive the Volunteer Social Media Manager role to plan and share short-form content that grows nonprofit awareness and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule posts across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn)
  • Help organize weekly content calendars
  • Upload short-form videos and captions
  • Identify trending topics aligned with nonprofit messaging
  • Support campaign launches and awareness initiatives
  • Track engagement and suggest simple improvements

Requirements

  • Time Commitment: Flexible (2–5 hours per week)
  • Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
  • Strong Communication and Writing skills
  • Experience with creating and executing Content Strategies
  • Ability to analyze social media metrics and improve engagement strategies
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva) and social media management platforms is a plus
  • Passion for social impact, community building, and sustainable practices

Preferred

  • Interest in storytelling, education, or nonprofit advocacy
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms
  • Comfortable working with short-form content
