Job Summary

Support City of Hope’s health equity and cancer prevention outreach by assisting with campaigns, events, and partner communications, while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare nonprofit marketing and relationship management.

  • Own community outreach and event coordination to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop CRM, volunteer coordination, and fundraising skills in a nonprofit healthcare setting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, PR, and Community Health teams to implement health education and partnerships.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing & Community Outreach Intern will support City of Hope’s marketing and community engagement efforts by assisting with outreach campaigns, sponsored events, and partner communications.
  • Provide hands-on experience in healthcare and nonprofit marketing, event coordination, and relationship management while supporting health equity and cancer prevention initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, PR, and Community Health teams under the supervision of City of Hope staff.
  • Apply marketing and outreach strategies in a healthcare and nonprofit setting.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of community health education and cancer prevention messaging.
  • Support health equity initiatives through effective communication and community engagement.
  • Develop practical skills in CRM systems, event marketing, volunteer coordination, and fundraising.
  • Exhibit professional communication, teamwork, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Understand the role of philanthropy and community partnerships in advancing public health initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor\'s Degree Program with a University.
