Job Summary

Drive design-influenced intern work for a Women’s design team by supporting trend research, tech packs, and AI-assisted ideation to help shape seasonal lines.

Assist with sketching, tech packs, line sheets, and cross-functional communication to support line development.
Must-have: Relevant coursework in fashion design.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Participate in cross-functional meetings and gain an understanding of the role of Design in the product lifecycle.
Supports the design team during the product development process
Identify the steps that Design goes through in order to design a line including trend research, concept development, sketching, detailing, and translating into samples.
Learn more about the day to day tasks accomplished by an Assistant Designer including sketching, creating tech packs and line sheets, communicating with the cross functional team, and preparing for seasonal presentations.
Provide research, maintenance, and support for assigned departmental projects and tasks as assigned.
Support the design team in exploring and incorporating AI-assisted tools (e.g., ideation, prototyping, asset generation) into day-to-day design work
Participate and provide feedback in group meetings and discussions if applicable.
Assist with the preparations of meetings & presentations
Provide administrative assistance, such as filing, record keeping, etc.
Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Participate in a filmed Summer Intern content series, including occasional on-camera moments that highlight the design process, team culture, and day-to-day life at Lucky Brand.
Collaborate with the Brand Marketing and Social teams on approved content ideas that showcase the intern experience.

Requirements

Relevant coursework in fashion design
Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence concepts and emerging technologies
Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in social media content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Interest in content creation, storytelling, or social media as it relates to fashion, culture, and the design process.
Detail oriented individual
Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills.
Must be available June 1st - August 7th 2026 for 40/hours per week.
Adhere to regular in-office presence, including engaging in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration.
Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Strong familiarity with social media platforms (particularly Instagram and Tik Tok)
Public facing social media accounts with at least 10K followers preferred, but not required
