Responsibilities

  • The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for two Communication Assistants to assist with all aspects of the Communications Office, including support and development of public relations initiatives with a heavy emphasis on creating content for social media and FloridaGators.com. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for at least one sport as assigned in addition to assisting with Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Softball, and all other sports as needed.
  • These positions require the incumbents to have effective writing and basic desktop publishing skills; have strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which will include nights, weekends, holidays, and some overnight travel to potential conferences or NCAA championship events.
  • These positions are time-limited to provide practical experience in a working environment and have an anticipated start date of July 2026. This posting will remain open until qualified candidates are chosen.
