Job Summary

Own campus and regional growth through hands on grassroots outreach, onboarding, and community activation for BuzzSpoon’s food-sharing platform.

  • Grassroots Outreach & Onboarding: Recruit local ambassadors, pitch the value, and guide new users through account setup on the spot.
  • Content Creation & Table Engagement: Sign up, post dishes, build a following, and activate DishSwap and plates through your own Table.
  • Community Growth & Feedback: Drive signups and regional activity, track progress, and contribute growth ideas for campus marketing and user acquisition.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct grassroots outreach to chefs, bakers, home cooks, culinary students, foodies, and culinary creators within your region or campus community
  • Help grow BuzzSpoon awareness and activity throughout your campus and local foodie community
  • Make outbound cold calls and direct outreach to potential users and food businesses
  • Attract new users and culinary creators to join BuzzSpoon
  • Drive signups, onboarding activity, and platform engagement within your assigned region
  • Recruit qualified Authorized Food Sellers onto the platform
  • Get prospective users and sellers to create their BuzzSpoon profile (aka "Table"), post dishes, build a following, request and serve plates, engage with their local foodie community, and grow activity around their Table
  • Represent BuzzSpoon through grassroots user acquisition efforts by conducting in-person outreach, pitching the value of the platform to potential users, distributing branded marketing materials, and personally guiding new users through account creation on the spot
  • Follow up with prospects and encourage continued engagement on the platform
  • Track outreach efforts, signups, onboarding activity, and regional growth progress

Requirements

  • Estimated Contract Term: 2-3 Months
  • Ambassadors must live in or near the region/campus they are helping grow
  • Contract is remote-based and requires self-motivation for grassroots outreach

Preferred

  • Culinary students, aspiring chefs, bakers, food creators, and individuals with a culinary background are strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with local foodie culture, culinary communities, campus organizations, or food businesses is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active on social media and enjoys creating content
  • Comfortable creating and posting culinary content online
