Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Establish clear objectives for assigned lessons, learning targets and projects and communicate these to students, following the department's curriculum
  • Plan and teach three Marketing courses: Marketing I, II and III, utilizing current pedagogical best practices
  • Develop the curriculum materials, syllabus, outlines and assessments in alignment with the department and course description.
  • Monitor and assess each student's development and progress in a fair and consistent manner
  • Participate in all faculty and department meetings as required
  • Serve as DECA Co-Advisor and help run DECA Student Store
  • Attend DECA competitions and help lead student fundraising projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in business or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching at the high school level
  • Strong understanding of and experience with business and/or marketing curriculum at the high school level
  • Experience with differentiated instruction to serve all students in a classroom
  • Proficiency with classroom technology
  • Effectively create positive relationships with students and families
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, communication and organizational skills
  • A commitment to practices that promote equity, inclusion and a sense of belonging
  • Part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE)

Preferred

  • A teaching certificate is preferred
