Job Summary

This role leads enterprise SEO and GEO/AEO strategy, aligning with business objectives and AI discoverability trends. It acts as SME, evangelizing best practices and coordinating cross-functional partners. Responsibilities include on-page/off-page/technical/content optimizations, analytics-driven reporting, and supporting platform transformations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise SEO and GEO/AEO strategy to increase visibility and traffic.
  • Establish and own a unified, enterprise-wide roadmap aligned to business objectives and informed by the changing SEO and AI discoverability landscape.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the organization, evangelize SEO/GEO best practices, and actively bring the latest insight to the organization on algorithm updates, AI driven search tends and emerging GEO practices.
  • Implement on-page, off-page, technical, and content optimizations across BNY websites and other touchpoints in support of the overall strategy.
  • Partner with Marketing Content teams as advisor, bringing structural and keyword insights to improve performance.
  • Use analytics tools to measure and analyze discoverability performance; deliver regular reporting on results and identified/prioritized opportunities.
  • Support organization’s transformation, e.g., website transformation, evolving the Content Discoverability function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-8 years of enterprise SEO leadership with demonstrated success.
  • Expertise in on-page, off-page, technical, content, and local SEO.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools and web analytics, plus emerging expertise in AI-assisted content discovery.
  • Experience using data to inform strategy and to develop impactful go-to-market approaches.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (marketing, content, creative, engineering, analytics) as a subject matter expert; demonstrated experience in communicating complex subject matter to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with website migration and multilingual sites.
