Responsibilities

• Content creation: Write SEO- and GEO-focused content across formats and incorporate keywords, briefs, and strategy.
• Research and accuracy: Conduct independent research to ensure content accuracy and credibility.
• Visuals and assets: Collaborate with designers and recommend supporting graphics, infographics, and video concepts that can enhance content performance.
• Drafting and iteration: Deliver drafts efficiently and iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback.
• Communication and opportunity spotting: Communicate proactively regarding content recommendations and opportunities.
• Engagement and cadence: Bias toward action; initial engagement 5-10 hours per week with room to increase, approximately 1 content asset per week, ongoing freelance engagement, collaborative partnership with internal teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrable professional content writing experience within the beauty industry.
• Strong knowledge of hair care, hair styling, hair tools, and beauty topics.
• Experience creating SEO-focused content with excellent research and fact-checking abilities.
• GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) experience.
• Ability to write educational, engaging, and conversion-focused content.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance workflow while maintaining content quality.

Preferred

• Published bylines within the beauty, hair care, or wellness industries.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in hair care or beauty.
• Experience developing content recommendations for visual and video assets.
