Job Summary

Assist in early market research and discovery work for ClearVerse, focusing on ICPs, competitive gaps, and customer insights as an unpaid, academic-credit internship.

  • Own or assist with structured customer research, interviews, and synthesis.
  • Must-have: Enrolled student pursuing credits or academic work with strong communication.
  • Exposure to JTBD, problem interviews, and early market strategy in a founding-team context.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured research on target customer segments and industry ecosystems
  • Assist in developing ICP hypotheses based on observed trends
  • Analyze competitor positioning and market gaps
  • Learn and apply customer interview methodologies (e.g., problem interviews, JTBD frameworks)
  • Participate in or observe real discovery conversations led by the founding team
  • Conduct a limited number of supervised, research-focused interviews for learning purposes
  • Practice drafting outreach messages for research interviews
  • Conduct small-scale, supervised outreach to request voluntary research conversations
  • Receive feedback on communication, positioning, and engagement approaches
  • Synthesize interview findings into structured insights

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
  • Eligible for or pursuing academic credit (strongly encouraged)
  • Background or interest in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity about startups, product development, and market strategy
  • 10–12 hours per week
  • 8-week fixed term
