Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle marketing strategy across the user journey, from first Icebox purchase through repeat engagement and win-back of lapsed users.
  • Define the channel mix across email, push, SMS, and in-app, with a clear prioritization framework for what to build and test next.
  • Build and manage an experimentation program covering acquisition, engagement, retention, and resurrection.
  • Apply behavioral science principles to message sequencing, timing, and incentive design, including drops, wallet credit offers, and referral incentives.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to unlock new lifecycle capabilities and influence the roadmap where existing tooling falls short.
  • Drive creative strategy for lifecycle channels, briefing and iterating on assets with designers and copywriters.
  • Own performance reporting for lifecycle channels, defining metrics, experiment setup, and results reporting for stakeholders.
  • Identify patterns in user behavior that inform which lifecycle moments matter most, from restock alerts to buyback conversion.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between raw user data and the rest of the company, surfacing what's working and what isn't.
  • Step into urgent or high-priority lifecycle issues when the owner is unclear, and create a path to resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in growth or lifecycle marketing, ideally with startup or high-growth consumer app exposure.
  • A track record of building lifecycle programs and experimentation rigor in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without needing a detailed playbook.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort pulling and validating your own data rather than waiting on a data partner for basic answers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex experiment results into clear takeaways for non-specialists.
  • High ownership and strong follow-through: you're the person who makes sure a test actually gets read and acted on.
  • Low ego and strong relationship instincts. You influence through clarity, trust, and execution rather than title.
  • Strong systems thinking, building repeatable lifecycle infrastructure rather than one-off campaigns.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and the answer isn't always obvious.
  • Genuine curiosity about consumer brands, watches, marketplaces, and how a high-growth company actually drives repeat behavior.
  • Willingness to do both strategic and unglamorous work, from designing an experiment to fixing a broken trigger.

Preferred

  • Experience at a high-growth startup or consumer company.
  • Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, mobile app analytics, or mystery box / randomized-value product economics.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms, and their data exports.
  • Experience designing incentive-based experiments using credits, discounts, or referral programs.
