Job Summary

Own the in-venue marketing and game day activation for 8 varsity sports, focusing on promotions, fan engagement, and campus/community partnerships to lift attendance and atmosphere.

  • Ownership: game day promotions, fan engagement, and on-field/arena activations across multiple home events.
  • Operations: coordinate schedules, inventory, and visuals with student teams and campus partners to ensure timely execution.
  • Impact: drive attendance growth and a stronger game day experience through partnerships and youth outreach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and promotional plans for all 8 varsity sports with regular home events.
  • Coordinate and implement game day promotions and fan engagement activities at all home athletic events.
  • Collaborate with student groups, university departments, and local businesses to increase attendance and enhance the game day atmosphere.
  • Assist with managing student marketing teams and interns.
  • Oversee in-game scripts, promotional timelines, and on-field/arena activations.
  • Assist with graphic design, social media content, and digital marketing efforts as needed.
  • Coordinate and support community outreach events and youth engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain and track promotional inventory, signage, giveaways, and sponsorship activations.
  • Provide support for special events such as Homecoming, Senior Nights, and themed games.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Currently admitted to a UCM graduate degree program
  • 3.0 or higher graduate level GPA if previous graduate level courses have been taken
  • 2.7 or higher undergraduate level GPA if no previous graduate level courses have been taken
  • Experience Qualifications: Prior experience in athletics marketing, promotions, or event planning (collegiate or professional level preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Marketing major preferred
  • Experience Qualifications: Prior experience in athletics marketing, promotions, or event planning (collegiate or professional level preferred)
