Job Summary

Lead day-to-day property operations, leasing, certifications, and resident services across multiple properties while coordinating maintenance, compliance, and vendor tasks to maintain a professional, welcoming community.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned properties
  • Provide professional and courteous assistance to current and prospective residents
  • Market available apartments and respond to rental inquiries
  • Manage leasing activities
  • Complete annual and interim tenant income certifications
  • Maintain accurate tenant files, compliance records, and property documentation
  • Monitor occupancy, rent collections, and lease compliance
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, inspections, apartment turnovers, and vendor access with the property's Maintenance Caretaker
  • Conduct routine property inspections with the property's Maintenance Caretaker and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Address resident questions, concerns, and lease-related matters

Requirements

  • Previous property management or affordable housing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA Rural Development or HUD is a plus
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing requirements is preferred
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to manage leasing, certifications, and administrative responsibilities accurately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • General computer proficiency and the ability to learn property management software
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently

Preferred
