Job Summary

Own the executive narrative and media strategy for a space tech player, turning complex space, AI, and sustainability topics into globally resonant, media-ready messaging for the CEO and an executive bench.

  • Executive Communications & Thought Leadership: Primary communications lead for the CEO and ghostwriter for the executive bench, shaping narratives across appearances, op-eds, and long-form content.
  • Content Strategy & Creation: Guide high-level content and top-tier opportunities, coordinating with social media on owned content and profile growth.
  • Global Events: Drive executive presence at MSC, WEF, and other forums, aligning messaging with company goals and audiences.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Executive Communications & Thought Leadership: Primary communications lead for the CEO and ghostwrite for the executive bench, shaping a narrative around space, AI, sustainability, security, and more.
  • Content Strategy & Creation: Lead high-level content strategy and execution including top tier press opportunities, op-eds, keynote messaging, and coordinated social media alignment.
  • Global Event Presence: Drive executive strategy and presence at major global forums such as MSC and WEF, shaping visibility and influence.
  • Executive Bench Support: Act as strategic advisor and ghostwriter for senior leaders (President & CFO, Co-Founder & CSO, Chief Space Officer, Chief Revenue Officer).
  • Internal & External Alignment: Ensure messaging aligns with Planet’s values, mission, and commercial objectives across Marketing, Government Affairs, and Product.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6-8 years in executive or corporate communications, preferably in high-growth tech.
  • Executive Presence: Comfortable working directly with C-suite, delivering actionable feedback amidst competing priorities.
  • Exceptional Writing: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for a global non-technical audience with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strategic Agility: Track record in earned and owned media programs delivering measurable brand credibility.

Preferred

  • Industry Savvy: Existing relationships with major media outlets, events, and influencers.
  • Multimedia Expertise: Experience with video scripts and digital engagement for LinkedIn and X.
  • Geopolitical Acumen: Understanding of the space industry’s intersection with national security.
