Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the overall communications strategy for Beast Industries' Consumer Goods & Services portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand priorities
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic counsel on reputation management, messaging, media engagement, and emerging issues
  • Build and execute integrated PR programs that generate earned media, strengthen brand equity, and support product launches, partnerships, retail expansions, and key business initiatives
  • Identify cultural, industry, and consumer trends that create opportunities for brand storytelling and thought leadership
  • Lead proactive and reactive communications planning, including issues management and crisis communications support when needed
  • Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, producers, podcast hosts, creators, and industry influencers
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Social, Brand, Legal, Partnerships, and Executive teams to ensure communications strategies are aligned across channels
  • Oversee external agency partners, establishing priorities, evaluating performance, and ensuring best-in-class execution
  • Develop executive messaging, media materials, briefing documents, and communications frameworks for internal and external audiences
  • Establish measurement frameworks and regularly report communications performance, insights, and recommendations to executive stakeholders

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive public relations and communications experience, with significant experience in consumer goods, food & beverage, retail, or CPG brands
  • Proven success developing and leading communications strategies for high-growth consumer brands
  • Deep relationships with national consumer, business, food, retail, lifestyle, and culture media
  • Experience serving as a strategic communications advisor to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
  • Strong track record of securing impactful earned media coverage and driving measurable business outcomes through communications programs
  • Experience leading agency relationships and managing integrated communications initiatives across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in reputation management, issues preparedness, and crisis communications
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Experience in-house at a leading consumer brand or within an agency supporting major CPG accounts is strongly preferred
