Job Summary

Own Walsh Jesuit’s brand and communications engine, balancing enrollment, fundraising and faith formation through a data-informed strategy, media relations, and digital/content leadership.

  • Marketing & Brand Strategy: Own the plan that connects enrollment goals, donor outreach and school identity with a clear, consistent message.
  • Communications & Media Relations: Build and maintain local and national media relationships to protect and amplify the school’s narrative.
  • Digital Strategy & Content Development: Guide social, website and content cadence in collaboration with the DCC for sustained audience engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Growth & Brand Strategy: Develop and manage a data-informed marketing and communications plan aligned with enrollment, retention, fundraising, academics, mission, identity, and athletics.
  • Partnerships & Community: Identify and cultivate community partnerships to expand brand visibility and engagement.
  • Media Relations: Manage proactive and reactive media relations to protect and enhance Walsh Jesuit’s image and messaging.
  • Media Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets.
  • Digital Strategy: Oversee Digital Communications Coordinator and develop strategy for social media and the website in collaboration with the DCC.
  • Content & Publishing: Supervise content creation, publishing calendars, and engagement monitoring.
  • Internal Communications: Develop internal communication strategies that keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Publications Oversight: Lead development, writing, and production of school-wide publications, including Walsh Jesuit’s magazine, Warrior Paths; review and approve all publications for brand consistency.
  • Faith Formation: Embrace Catholic/Christian values and participate in Ignatian formation activities and related events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
  • Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro (preferred).
  • Commitment to Jesuit values and faith-based student formation.
  • Embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life.
