Job Summary

Own the end-to-end digital marketing and content strategy for a fintech-friendly institutional audience, driving top-of-funnel pipeline while translating complex lending tech into clear market narratives.

  • Growth engine ownership: funnel optimization, multi-channel engagement, and lead-to-opportunity conversion across institutional buyers.
  • Partnerships and ecosystem: manage agencies, shape strategic alliances, and accelerate product adoption through platforms and intermediaries.
  • Content and messaging: build authority at the private credit/AI underwriting intersection with compelling collateral and practitioner/LP targeting.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end digital marketing strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels, with a clear mandate to generate qualified institutional leads and grow top-of-funnel pipeline.
  • Manage and maximize effectiveness of external agency partners across SEO/SEM, content, paid social, and email, setting KPIs, reviewing performance, and holding partners accountable to ROI.
  • Build and optimize the marketing and sales funnel in partnership with internal stakeholders; own conversion metrics from impression to qualified opportunity.
  • Oversee marketing budget allocation and reporting, with a performance-first orientation and willingness to reallocate spend in real time based on data.
  • Deploy marketing automation and CRM tooling (HubSpot, Salesforce) to enable lead scoring, nurture workflows, and pipeline visibility.
  • Shape and maintain Hum’s market positioning and messaging for distinct audiences, such as institutional investors, credit providers, lenders and growth-stage borrowers, ensuring consistency and resonance across all touchpoints.
  • Produce and manage a library of compelling external collateral: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, product messaging, thought leadership content and conference materials.
  • Develop a content strategy that builds Hum’s authority at the intersection of private credit, AI-enabled underwriting, and alternative data, targeting both practitioner and LP/allocator audiences.
  • Collaborate with leadership and product teams to translate technical capabilities into differentiated market narratives that are accurate, compelling, and accessible.
  • Identify, cultivate, and advance partnerships with platforms, distribution channels, ecosystem participants, and institutional intermediaries that can accelerate product adoption and AUM growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, growth, or business development with meaningful time in fintech, private credit, lending or institutional financial services.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing external agency relationships and delivering measurable ROI from digital marketing programs (paid search, SEO, content, email, paid social).
  • Experience with B2B marketing to institutional audiences (lenders, asset managers, credit funds, family offices) is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with loan origination platforms, private credit structures, or alternative lending is a meaningful differentiator.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing technology stacks: CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), marketing automation, analytics (GA4, Mixpanel), and attribution tooling.
  • Track record of building content and collateral that performs in financially sophisticated markets, not just brand awareness but pipeline contribution.

Preferred

  • Strong written and verbal skills, equally comfortable writing a credit market whitepaper and presenting in an LP meeting.
  • Analytically driven: you design dashboards, review funnel metrics weekly, and make spending decisions based on data rather than instinct alone.
  • Commercially wired: you understand how pipeline converts, what institutional buyers care about, and how to shorten a complex B2B sales cycle.
  • Highly organized with strong project management discipline, able to run multiple workstreams (campaigns, partnerships, content) simultaneously without dropping threads.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed; you can operate without a large team beneath you and are energized by building rather than maintaining.

Benefits

  • Direct access to senior leadership and meaningful influence over company strategy and product roadmap.
  • A lean, high-caliber team where your work will be visible and your impact measurable.
