Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that reflects Denver Christian’s mission, values, and strategic priorities and effectively engage all stakeholders (students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and prospective families)
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of the school’s brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels and materials
  • Collaborate with the Head of School and Leadership Team leaders on key message development and public statements
  • Promote school events, programs, and achievements to both internal and external audiences
  • Publication of various weekly newsletters to stakeholders (parents, staff, etc)
  • Partner with the head of school for additional updates around strategic priorities (e.g. college and career counseling, new building updates, etc)
  • Work closely with the advancement and admissions teams to create cohesive and integrated campaigns that support recruitment and fundraising efforts
  • Manage the school’s website, partnering with the leadership team, to ensure up-to-date and engaging content that reflects the school’s activities, news, and academic offerings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably in an educational or faith-based environment
  • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies, including digital, social media, and traditional media outreach
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt tone and style to various audiences
  • Familiarity with the principles of Christian education and an understanding of how to communicate within a faith-based school community
  • Experience with crisis communication, media relations, and community outreach
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media analytics tools
