Job Summary

Own the client-facing data and audience strategy core for new business, shaping how analytics drive decision making and measurable outcomes in direct marketing engagements.

  • Audience/Data Strategy: Define 1st party vs acquisition approaches and segmentation to guide multi-channel campaigns.
  • Client Discovery and Solutions: Lead discovery and translate business challenges into actionable marketing and data solutions for pre-sale and RFPs.
  • Measurement and Credibility: Establish testing criteria, success metrics, and present insights to senior stakeholders to influence deal strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of audience and data strategies for new business and organic growth opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and account leadership to shape deal strategy, scope, and positioning.
  • Define how data, segmentation, and analytics will be applied to achieve client objectives.
  • Translate client business challenges into clear, actionable marketing and data solutions.
  • Play a key role in RFP responses, proposal development, and pitch presentations.
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert in audience, data, and direct marketing analytics in client conversations.
  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover client needs, data availability, and opportunity areas.
  • Present strategic recommendations that connect data capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
  • Build credibility with senior client stakeholders through clear, insight-driven thinking.
  • Identify opportunities and define frameworks to meet client outcomes: data and audience approach, segmentation, test-and-learn, measurement, multi-channel campaigns.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years in direct marketing, CRM, or data-driven marketing environments
  • Significant experience in client-facing, pre-sale, or solution strategy roles
  • Background in agency, marketing services, or data-driven organizations (e.g., Epsilon, Merkle, Acxiom, Wiland)
