Job Summary

Own and unify the alumni communications and marketing function at Boston College, shaping a cohesive storytelling ecosystem that spans campaigns, annual giving, and donor/audience engagement.

  • Lead enterprise-level communications and marketing strategy across integrated teams to deliver consistent brand stewardship.
  • Build and coach a high-performing ACM leadership team with clear goals and accountability.
  • Oversee messaging for major institutional moments to alumni and donors across UA channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Defines and leads the long-term vision for ACM, aligned to UA priorities.
  • Oversees the integration of communications, creative, marketing strategy, marketing technology, and digital Insights into a single, cohesive function.
  • Collaborates with the AVP, Office of University Communications on a regular basis.
  • Builds and leads a high-performing ACM leadership team aligned around shared goals, clear expectations, and collective accountability.
  • Works collaboratively across the division to define fundraising and engagement objectives for the year ahead.
  • Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of all alumni and donor communications across UA-owned channels and touchpoints.
  • Ensures a cohesive narrative ecosystem—from campaign storytelling to annual giving to alumni engagement—that reflects BC’s priorities and resonates with each audience.
  • Directly oversees how major institutional moments (campaign milestones, principal gifts, presidential transition, key initiatives) are communicated to alumni and donors.
