Job Summary

Own cross-channel direct marketing and fundraising for a nationwide program with tight copy governance and expense oversight.

  • Campaign ownership across direct mail, telemarketing, SMS, ads, and email.
  • Fundraising governance for the State Party Victory Fund including strategy, approvals, budgeting, and state-level coordination.
  • Operations and cash flow tracking to align with the DNC mission.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Direct Marketing team to develop innovative and creative direct marketing and telemarketing campaigns that are integrated with our online channels.
  • Coordinate integration with broadcast and peer-to-peer SMS programs, integrated ads, and email.
  • Oversee mail and telemarketing copy through internal staff review.
  • Manage State Party Victory Fund program for all 50 states, including executing strategy and planning for mailings, work with state chairs and executive directors to edit and approve copy.
  • Manage budget for the State Party Victory Fund and allocate funds to the state parties and DNC.
  • Track expenses and cash flow for the marketing department.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience with direct mail or political fundraising on a campaign, committee, or mission-oriented organization
  • Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors and have a deep understanding of how to inspire people to action using the written word
  • Solid understanding of direct marketing industry and trends
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) databases is a plus
  • You should be willing and able to relocate to the DC area
